unable to mount cdrom permissions denied
dear all,
while trying to mount CDROM the systems checks for quite some time finally it says permission denied, though I have login as root. Thanks & regars. murthy |
Sounds like it is having a problem reading the disc, is the disc damaged at all. If the disc is a recorded disc, there may have been an error during the burn process that has left the disc damaged, or was unable to close it properly.

Try opening /etc/fstab in a text editor( eg:- gedit) and uncomment (delete # mark) before the entry for /dev/cdrom. Then eject and reinsert the disk. It should automount.
