unable to login into Redhat linux


i was able get screens with root,kernel and others by the key e.run levels 4 and 5 is got.for authentication options yes/no/continue is not enabled.this ends with a user box of no response but blinking cursor.no username as asked could be entered.

Please clarify....I have no idea what you're asking, or what your problem is. What version of Linux are you using, and what distribution?
