Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

It usually means that another apt tool is locking the cache. Kill that process.

i use bt5 r1 on vmware 7, twice i tried to upgrade from bt5 r1 to bt5 r2, the upgrade was pretty good until it got to this point below and did not go any forward for hours
