Hello Friends,

How should I start Solving my Problem?

This web site, http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-fedora-f8.html, will help you with most anything you need for Fedora 8. Remember that Fedora 8 has long since reached End Of Life. Support for it will be spotty at best. Once you figure things out you would be well advised to upgrade to Fedora 10. Fedora 11 is just around the corner.

There were no drivers that came with my laptop. It's been a while since I've used Fedora 8. I'll tell you what I do with Fedora 10. I start by making it so music, in general, will play. That usually involves installing gstreamer-plugins-ugly. Open a terminal and type su -c 'yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly'. Try playing an mp3 and see what happens. Try it with Rhythmbox. Let me know if it works of if Rhythmbox gives you an error and we'll go from there.
