It might be something on the motherboard, but I doubt it.
An easy thing to try would be to pull the Radeon, and maybe put in an Nvidia card and see if it still hangs?
If it does, swap your memory chips in their banks (this is a kind of hail-mary-pass try, but I've heard of it working)
If that still does not work, try pulling any expansion cards or USB devices you might have connected.
Your install is hanging in the hardware probe stage - maybe you can pass a "-noprobe" command to the install kernel?
You might also just have a bad piece of hardware somwhere, that might have been working when you were installing FC10 but has failed in the meantime? Or do you mean FC10 still works, even now?
