Unable to connect to the internet despite wireless networks being detected.

My wireless network is being detected but it refuses to connect to it. I am entering the accurate passcode and I have tried doing various commands for it to work, but it is being stubborn.

Also, it would help to know which WEP Index to use and type of Authentication.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

If your wireless router and your computers chipset support
it I'd highly recommend using WPA2/PSK. WEP takes on
average under 5 minutes to get in for war-drivers (or
neighbours), WPA has been found lacking a good while ago ...

Cheers,
Tink
