Unable to boot from hard drive
I have downloaded Ubantu 8.10 and Debian for the AMD 64, both seem to load from the CD but neither will boot from the hard drive.
What have I done wrong? I have two SATA hard drives in a raid format, both drives are new and I've never loaded windoze onto them. Thanks, David. |

I'm guessing Debian and Ubuntu can't see your Fakeraid Array.. (the SATA RAID on your motherboard is NOT a real hardware RAID solution)
Heres a how-to Install Ubuntu on Fakeraid. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FakeRaidHowto |
