Unable to access folders in Ubuntu
 

Hi,

I am having problems accessing my folders.
For example, when i try to access Home Folder under Places, it will try to open the folder before closing by itself after a few seconds.

Please help! I am at my wits end

It might have something to do with the fact you are logged in as root. You should create a regular user account and use that instead. Using your computer as root leaves you open to all manner of disasters.
