Question Ultimate Edition 3.2 live CD requiring login

I downloaded the iso for Ultimate Edition 3.2 live CD for i386, 32-bit.
I checked the md5sum before burning.
Brasero disc burner checks checksum before and after burning, so I assume all was well, since it said "Success" at the end.
When I boot the live CD, the splash screen comes up properly but prompts for username and password, which I've never seen before on many live CD's I've tried.
I've tried nothing in both and various things in them, and nothing works.
When I enter "ubuntu" in the username and nothing in the pw, the login prompt disappears, as does the splash screen. Then the screen goes black. Then the login prompt reappears, as does the splash screen. Seemingly close, but no cigar.
Any ideas?

Try another ubuntu disk.
If it fails also then you can't easily run this live cd.

There has been an old bug in Ubuntu since like version 8 that on some systems this happens. I have seen it over the years on some very few systems. I have no idea why it does it either.

I tried for a week or so to even get past the login screen. Seeming no password or hack or edit would allow the live cd to work.

Thank you, Jefro, for your reply.

I've created two live DVD's now for it and both have required the login prompt. I think I'll wait for a later edition, especially since the main site for the product has been hacked. If they can't get a live CD right, that makes me question the distro too.

I've created a number of other regular Ubuntu and other distros' live CD's with no problem. This distro just looked interesting, based on comments I've seen. But now I wonder. First appearances...

It is not them. It is Ubuntu.
