udf reader


Does anyone know where I might obtain the where-with-all to get RedHat7.3 to see a re-writable cd ????

You probably need to recompile the kernel to include UDF read support.

I don't think its included in RH basic kernel but could try to mount and see

mount -t udf /dev/cdromdev /mnt/cdrom_mount_point

hmmmmmmmmmm

well i tried that and nothing happened.
The disk spins up and one or two files on the disk show up, but not the rpm files.
Am very new to all this so have no clue how to recompile the kernel.
I'll get round to that.......
For now i guess i will have to stick to ordinary cd's.
