Not sure how to solve this problem . All went well on install was prompted for password but not username. Everything seems to boot fine but I am unable to log in .Went to recovery boot entered new password but main screen won't allow log in as root I know I have done something wrong just don't know what. I would un -install and re-install but are unsure how to un-install. Anyone have some suggestions I am very green ,but would very much like to solve this so I can explore this whole new o/s and linux thanks azmike
thank you all for the support i am up and running and exploring one excellent distro so far. i know i have not even begun to scratch the surface. you guys are great thank you again azmike
Well it goes something like this . Upon boot up entered the recovery mode it asked for root password which was entered during set up i did write this down [there does't seem to be any where to enter a usermame/password during set-up] I was able to use adduser command and enter username and password. from here i re booted to the normal mode [not recovery mode] entered username/password and i was in . i am still working on setting things up but my network was recognizied and i had an web connection.i am sure i will be posting more as i go hope this will help someone. azmike
