Ubuntu Studio wireless issues. Atheros 928x on a Dell Inspiron 1545

Hey all. Let's hope I get better results here than where I've been looking before...
Very long story.
I just installed Ubuntu Studio 9.1 on my Dell Inspiron 1545. I can't get the wireless to work (and I don't have any idea how). I don't know if I have the wireless driver for the card (MadWifi, if I'm correct.). I installed and compiled it but, while following the directions I could not do the 'Loading the MadWifi module' section.

Have you tried just using the ath5k or ath9k drivers (ie don't use madwifi)?
