ubuntu studio newbie questions
 

Hello All
Any help is appreciated...
I am using Ubuntu Studio with dual boot WinXP...and have the following quesitons
1. Where is a good tutorial that will explain the lingo of Ubuntu?
2. What CD/DVD software can I use with Ubuntu Studo?
3. I have a Tascam digital HDD recorder...how can i make Ubuntu see it?
4. Where can I find info on which program needs what program running to work properly?

I am computer literate but have not had many dealings with Linux..

I was trying Ubuntu Studio 7.10. Post the answers to these questions that you had when you get them figured out. It may help newbies like me.

It is not clear on their web what the difference between plain Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio. I was trying Ubuntu Studio 7.10, so I think that is the same thing as Ubuntu 7.10?
