Bad RAM, probably. Leave memtest86 running overnight.

Nolanz2 06-01-2008 10:39 AM

i have 4 gigs of ddR2 all exactly the same, corsair,

Nolanz2 06-02-2008 06:57 PM

the sound will also turn off sometimes

Emerson 06-02-2008 07:11 PM

Two top reasons for behaviour like this are faulty RAM and out-of-spec PSU. Did you run memtest86 as I suggested? Let me guess, you didn't.

You've got it wrong. Your time is not needed, memtest86 uses computer time. You can sleep meanwhile.
