Ubuntu on windows capacity
Hi,
I've installed unbuntu on windows thanks to this: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/deskt...dows-installer But during the installation I was onlt able to allocate 30g of memory to linux, now i need more, do you have any ideas for me to do this? Thanks and regards, Roald Targé |
Which option? The page you linked to has options of installing Ubuntu on its own partition or using the Wubi installer. The Wubi installer installs Ubuntu inside windows as a program and it does not have a separate partition. Also, it apparently only works for 12.04 as the page indicates. It is my understanding that Wubi is no longer being developed.

I would guess wubi and you can re-size virtual disks.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide Be sure to backup your important data just in case. |
Thanks for these quick answers :)

30G of hard drive space??
Might be possible that you don't have free space on the windows file system. Might be a drive or drive controller issue or bios issue. (doubt that) Since your install isn't a normal install we can't be sure of anything. |
If it helps I had to shrink my Windows partition before I could install Voyager (12.04) which is Ubuntu based.
