Ubuntu on virtual machine handled by Win7
 

Good Day all,

sure can get what i m looking for in this place. Wanted to know if there is a software that can allow me to load Ubuntu virtual machine on to my Windows 7 64bit.

well yes, any conventional virtualization platform for windows should allow this. Take your pick.... vmware player, vmware server, parallels workstation, virtualbox, hyper-v, loads to choose from.

No it's not, that's a really poor reply. Firstly, it's not a "free" solution, unlike other VMware products, which normally rules it out, and it totally depends what the requirements are as to what the "best" solution is.

i've worked with vmware workstation, esx, virtualbox, openvz and xen.and for a newbie i think vmware workstation is the best.because it's powerful and very easy to use.i admit it has its own bugs but this is my suggestion.

Actually, also note that there is often very little justification for "the best" when other solutions, especially free ones, will do just fine. A Bugatti Veyron is possible "the best" car in the world, but that doesn't mean I should / could go buy one. Once a single virtual machine is running, the hypervisor running it is utterly uninteresting and irrelevant to the user.
