ubuntu modem help


hi there i am running ubuntu with the kde i know a little about linux but not enough to get this thing connected the web with the kppp dial up tool i keep having the problem that /etc/resolve.conf and alsothat kppp can not find /dev/modem thank you for all your guys help

in a terminal try

pppconfig

follow the instructions. Have you added the Modem Monitor applet to your panel. It has a modem autodetect feature. Check the ppp0 box. That might help.
