I'm interested in installating a particular piece of software in Ubuntu Maverick (the program is called Nepenthes, its a honeypot, if thats
important)
Anyways, I am booted into a live CD of Ubuntu Maverick and I'd like to make sure I can get Nepenthes running before I install Ubuntu to the hard drive.
This link:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?ke...ck§ion=all
says that Nepenthes is in the Ubuntu Maverick repository. However, when I type "sudo apt-get install nepenthes" it says that the package nepenthes could not be found.
I am booted from a live CD after all, and I was wondering if I do a full install, will nepenthes be added to the repositories then? If not, is there any way I can add it to the repository?
I'd like the easiest solution possible, please. Or if you are using Ubuntu, and Nepenthes is in your distributions repositories by default, can you tell me which version of Ubuntu you're using so that I can install it and have Nepenthes? I realize that's kind of extreme of me, but I'm willing to do that if all else fails.
I want to be absolutely positive that Nepenthes will be in Ubuntu's repository before I install Ubuntu, because not having Nepenthes defeats the purpose of installing Ubuntu. Thank you.
