Is that the entire make output, because I'm not seeing where it error'ed out? did you do a make install from root after that? It gave you a note: (?) but I'm not seeing where it said that it would not compile.
If it does not, in fact, compile you could set make to ignore the error, or recompile your kernel with current gcc. ORIGINAL POST WAS EDITED, I'm not blind. |
Make shure you really have to compile, and there is no *.deb package out there.
Install the build-essentials package. - I also don't see what could be wrong. What does ./configure say? |
I have now the full configure, make, make install.
I think that debiant has a point about compiling the kernel with new gcc. But i don't know how!! Do i need to complile with kernel also other packages when i update them or just in ubuntu ? On suse i updated them and the kernel had no problem .Ubuntu has its own procedure? Thanks (and sorry for the delay because i dont't have internet yet on linux ,the damned driver u see and i need to reboot every time i want to see sth on linux) *8 ) |

http://www.parsix.org/html/index.php...y&tag=EagleUsb It's for Parsix which is based on Debian Sid, so it's possible that the deb package prebuilt so it might work for you, it's worth a shot if you're not to interested in recompiling kernel. I'm no expert so I don't know that you would have to recompile, but that seems to be the problem. I'm keeping my gcc where it's at until I'm ready to recompile my kernel for simply that reason. |
There is also a deb package eagle_usb_data and eagle_usb_utils at Debian, from which I surmise there are some at Ubuntu as well. If you don't want to recompile, take oskars advice, find a deb package for it.

thank you guys i'll try it out
