Ubuntu auto reply .vacation postfix
Hello,
I have postfix installed on ubuntu 9. I want to use mails autpreply with vacation I installed it, it is working fine, but I need to set the FROM field in those auto reply messages. I found out that there are two diffrent distributions of vacation: 1) AUTHOR vacation is Copyright (c) 1983 by Eric P. Allman, University of Berkeley, California, and Copyright (c) 1993 by Harald Milz (hm@seneca.ix.de). Tiny patches 1998 by Mark Seuffert (moak@pirate.de). Now maintained by Sean Rima (thecivvie@softhome.net) 2) AUTHOR vacation was developed by Eric Allman and the University of California, Berkeley in 1983. This version is maintained by Marco d’Itri <md@linux.it> and contains code taken from the three free BSD and some patches applied to a linux port. On ubuntu, if u install with " apt-get install vacation " , u get the version with the second Author, which has no option for setting the reply address. The version of the first Author has the option -r: -r If there is a `Reply-To:' header, send the automatic reply to the address given there. Otherwise, use the `From:' entry. So, how can I set the reply address with the Ubuntu version; -r is for setting the interval Thank U! ps" I tried to instal the other version of vacation but I get all kind of erros... damn dependencies !!! |
