Ubuntu 9.0 - Menu glued to Main Menu

Description:

Ever since the most recent upgrade a couple days ago. All of my "windows" are glued to/overlaying the top/left menu, which is very similar to the way MAC manages their application; however, this is extremely painful in Ubuntu/Gnome. Drag and drop does not work. I tried terminals, gimp. All the menus are replacing the main (application, places, system).

Environment:
Ubuntu 9.05, Gnome, System updated to the latest version as of July 08, 2009

Please help if you can, thanks.
