Hello Good Day

Im totally new to ubuntu 8.10 it seem i have successfully installed it in my system but i have a problem connecting to internet. It seems it response and partially connected but when i connect to internet it doesnt works. Problem on domain or mispelled or wrong i.p. address was displayed on my screen.

I have IP address, gateway, netway... etc supplied but it doesnt works. it seems the boxes on network configuration unlikely similar with the one explained in the basic installation (user friendly) but in my system it seem different. please help thank you very much.
