Ubuntu 8.10 Installation
I chickened out. It is a terrible Winter day, so I figured it was a good time to install Ubuntu on my second hard drive. I went into BIOS and instructed the BIOS to boot from my second drive. When I tried to install Ubuntu, it was going to be installed on my primary drive, the one that has Vista installed. Please instruct how I can be certain that Ubuntu goes where I want it to go. Should I select manual install?

you can try manual install, and see if ubuntu sees the second drive.
are you booting from cd ? |
Ubuntu Installation
I booted from the Ubuntu CD. Previous to this, I changed the Hard Drive priority, and booted up. Vista did not come up, so I figured it was good to go.

then try manual install, and see if ubuntu sees the second drive
