Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I just built a computer.
I have 2 separate harddrives SATA interface
My windows is on the way ( only because my wife wants it)
I have had alot of trouble with OpenSUSE being unstable so I decided to go back to Ubuntu.
When I loaded Ubuntu on the harddrive just like I used to with my old computer (which already had windows before I put linux on there) I went through the install like everything was fine but when rebooted I got an error saying that "no active partition"
OpenSUSE loaded great because I guess of there auto partitioner in the beginning of install, but I cannot get ubuntu loaded.
I was told to wait until I get windows in before loading windows but I cant wait. Ill delete the linux whenever I get windows in and do it that way but for now I just want ubuntu to load on one of my HD.
My future plans for my harddrives are:
split the 320 in half and put windows on it and linux and use the 640 for storage for both OS.
