E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Anyone got any idea how to solve this?

Beside, one funny part is everytime I boot my laptop. It's usually take 2 times to ready.
When I press power on button, it's show the OS is running. But before enter to the login page, its automatically reboot again and usually this time will be very smooth to login to ubuntu.

ANyone come across with this problem?

For that ppa: ppa:mozillateam/ppa

Code:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE main
There is no oneiric repository

The link does not exist, hence the 404.
Code:
<option selected="selected" value="YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE">Choose your Ubuntu version</option>
<option value="jaunty">Jaunty (9.04)</option>
<option value="intrepid">Intrepid (8.10)</option>
<option value="hardy">Hardy (8.04)</option>
<option value="gutsy">Gutsy (7.10)</option>
<option value="feisty">Feisty (7.04)</option>
<option value="edgy">Edgy (6.10)</option>
<option value="dapper">Dapper (6.06)</option>

HI,

Thanks for your reply. But I found this after i put it in my terminal

~$ deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main
No command 'deb' found, did you mean:
Command 'debc' from package 'devscripts' (main)
Command 'derb' from package 'libicu-dev' (main)
Command 'dab' from package 'bsdgames' (universe)
Command 'debi' from package 'devscripts' (main)
Command 'xdeb' from package 'xdeb' (universe)
deb: command not found

It is telling you there is no command deb because there is no deb command. What is in your sources list is an address that starts with deb so the package manager can work with it.

Open your sources.list and apply the changes that andrewthomas said (i.e. delete or comment out the ppa cause it doesn't exist at the moment) and you will have no trouble.

As for the rebooting you could do a search for the problem or start another thread on it. It does exist, I know because my fathers Acer Aspire does it to, but I don't have an answer for you and we are switching (I have switched) to Debian (Cobber) anyway and we haven't had any issues with that.

Hi. I still cant solve the problem.

I tried go to terminal,

sudo pico /etc/apt/source.list

then I added

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main

"save and exit"

what is the next step? where should i go to solve 404?

Next step is read this thread again and see what you have been told. There is no ppa for Oneric (which you haven't even got listed in your lines now, they don't list numbers they list names) so you have 2 (TWO) options delete it altogether or comment it out by putting a # in front of it and your issues will be gone.

Type this into a teminal
Code:
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
when prompted type in your password (you wont see anything happening on the screen when typing your password) and in gedit a file (your sources.list) will open. You will see a line that will look like this
Code:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main
it should (if it worked) look like this
Code:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu oneric main
. What you need to do is either delete that line or put a # in front of it and any other line such as a
Code:
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main
if it is there. After the modification that line will end up either nor there or it will look like this
Code:
# deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu 11.10 main
. Save the file and close it. Now type
Code:
apt-get update
in the terminal and your problem should be gone.

Sorry if I seemed abrupt, if you have difficulty with anything let people know you are a noobie and they will spell it out for you step by step or lead to you a site that has the information you seek without hesitation. Any other questions just ask.
