Hello,

What kind of graphics card do you have installed? You will need to provide us with specs of your machine and the card, along with the output of the following command:
Code:
lspci
Cheers,

Josh

Hello,

Ok, first of all, I advise you to go into your BIOS settings and check and see that the card is configured for the proper amount of video memory, etc, since after doing some research, that might be in issue regarding the memory. Now besides all of that... I recommend downloading the latest drivers from the intel site here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...ics+Controller
From there, you can install the newest drivers, and you should be able to get your chipset at the maximum allowable resolution.

Cheers,

Josh

Edit - Here are the correct drivers you need - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...+Controllereng

AFAIK, Since version 10.04 (or was it 10.10?) the Intel 8xx series is blacklisted by Ubuntu to only run with the vesa-driver. You can try if it will work if you generate a /etc/X11/xorg.conf and specify the intel driver in that.
