ubuntu 10.04


fresh install ubuntu does not boot up shows splash then goes blank.
how do i get into boot c-line

I think you can get the grub menu to show up by pressing ESC. Then you can edit the kernel boot parameters by pressing e.

Ok, I googled and found the following

"https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LucidLynx/ReleaseNotes#No delay for boot menu with GRUB 2"

Seems you need to hold down the shift key.
