Ubuntn 11.04 getting on line !!!


First off I'am married with 3 beautiful children, Like so many, we are monopolize by windows 7, I LOVE the underdog, or Linux, (How can something so easy be or seemed to, so hard to use ?????

My loving wife, Takes class on line from our community college, and we live in a rural area, No real internet, so we have wimax wireless, 7Mbps or so they bill us for !!! We have a cradlepoint CTR35 wireless portable router, also TP-Link TL-WN722N and a Netgear WNA 3100 N300 wireless USB adapters.

I'm working with 2 Gigabyte motherboard,(GA-Ma785GM-US2H), HELP PLEASE, Also remember I'm a TOTAL NEWBIE ??????

THANK YOU, I know it's a lot to ask' but once over the hump, Linux well become 2nd hand and I can help someone else, Thank You the Butlers
