Ubu 9.10 on-off clipboard

I am running otherwise smoothly Ubuntu 9.10 on 32b architecture. Sometimes the clipboard doesn't copy/paste. No error message. What i do is...nothing. Just wait. It may work again and it does. Sometimes the clipboard doesn't copy/paste between browsers... Can any of you guys explain this weirdness..? Thank you...!

hello,

Perhaps something like a clipboard manager can help? Googling "ubuntu clipboard manager" I found this:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/glipper/

With most brands of Linux, I've had this trouble.

I did find that if I keep the page, Or document open, That i copied from, Then I am able to paste into the new document successfully.

This is with a clipboard manager running too, So I'm guessing, That someone should probably revise the built in clipboard tools that we currently use.

In windows xp, I can copy something, Close the page, And still paste it, But in Linux I normally can't, And this is with most brands of Linux that i've tried.

I'll try "glipper". I just noticed in a forum someone wondering "Why isn't Glipper installed by default?" Somebody else answers "Nobody knows". By the way, the above quoted sentences i copied and pasted from Epiphany to Namoroka browser. You see, sometimes it does work ) Muchas gracias..!!
