typing high-ascii characters
In Windows it is possible to insert high-ascii characters (i.e. ASCII code > 126) using the ALT key and number pad. For example, to display the symbol for the UK pound (ASCII 156):
-turn numlock on -hold the Alt key down -type the numbers 156 on the number pad -release the Alt key Does anyone know if similar functionality exists in Linux? Thanks Gerry |
