typing gdm, starting kde

i have set my default desktop manager to gdm, and installed all the packages neccesary, but when it starts, appears the GNOME loginscreen, i enter my user name and password, and the KDE start, running all the normal configuration when i run KDE.

How can i start MY GNOME.

personally I normally use the login window/box and use the dropdown in the bottom righthand corner to select the gnome login.

As I don't like, and haven't managed to get to grips with how gnome works, it doesn't get used very often!

regards

John

On the login screen, there is usually an opion to change your environment - possibly called "Session". Click it and set Gnome as your desktop.
