typing gdm, starting kde
i have set my default desktop manager to gdm, and installed all the packages neccesary, but when it starts, appears the GNOME loginscreen, i enter my user name and password, and the KDE start, running all the normal configuration when i run KDE.
How can i start MY GNOME. |
personally I normally use the login window/box and use the dropdown in the bottom righthand corner to select the gnome login.
As I don't like, and haven't managed to get to grips with how gnome works, it doesn't get used very often! regards John |
On the login screen, there is usually an opion to change your environment - possibly called "Session". Click it and set Gnome as your desktop.
