Two Slackware setups in Lilo

Is there a way to set up two entries in Lilo, both loading the same kernel, the only difference being, one boots to the command line, the other boots to the X11 Manager?

Or as a bonus, one to command line, one to KDE, and one to Gnome?

I can program in C and C++, so if it's a matter of running a program at start-up that runs different configurations based on the label of the selection, then I'm sure I'm capable of doing that. It'd be nice to here if there was an easier way, though.
Thanks.

Yes.

Example extract of /etc/lilo.conf:

Code:
image=/boot/vmlinuz
  label="slackware-cli"
  root=/dev/hda5
  read-only
image=/boot/vmlinuz
  label="slackware-x"
  root=/dev/hda5
  append="4"
  read-only
This assumes that your configuration is set to boot to cli by default. If you have it set up to boot to X by default, you can swap the labels around and change the append="4" to append="3".

Now you're asking too much...

Well, ACTUALLY ... that wouldn't be that hard, either.
Code:
image=/boot/vmlinuz
  label="slackware-cli"
  root=/dev/hda5
  read-only
image=/boot/vmlinuz
  label="FLUXBOX"
  root=/dev/hda5
  append="WM=flux"
  read-only
image=/boot/vmlinuz
  label="KDE"
  root=/dev/hda5
  append="WM=kde"
  read-only
Now all you need to do is a) modify your ~/.xsession to evaluate that
environment variable $WM we defined in lilo,
Code:
if [[ $WM == "kde" ]]; then
  startkde
else
exec /path/to/fluxbox
fi

and b) also check for its presence
from /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Code:
if [[ $WM != "" ]]; then
  /sbin/init 4
fi
All this is just written up and un-tested, but I think it (or something
similar) should be quite possible to achieve, you get the idea, anyway ;}

Cheers,
Tink
