TVout ATI 9000/pro

hi
i have mandrake 10 and i dont know how to activate the output TVout
my graphicCard is Hercules (ATI 9000/PRO)

i find out that if the tv is connected to the graphicCard when i boot, mandrake cant start the the graphicMode
so i start the computer (where the tv is not connected to the graphicCard) and then i conect the tv but i cant see any thing on the tv

note that i am beginner and i did not install inything for that, so maybe i neet to install some packages, but i dont know which one !!!

I'm not a Mandrake user but i'm pretty sure Mandrake 10 uses the 2.6 kernel. Right now ATI does not support 2.6. Unless someone else knows a way to make the driver included with Mandake10 support TV then I think you are out of luck until ATI gets with the program. I would recomend going with Nvidia, they support Linux much better than ATI does.

ok so i installed now nVidia GeForce2 MX 400
and mandrake installed the right driver automaticaly

but i still don't know how to activate the tv-out output

which package or program do i neet to install to activate it? or what should i do to see my desktop on the TV ?

Look for a program called nvtv-out.
