Trying to use Jbrowse and keep getting error 404 not found

I installed Jbrowse and am trying to follow one of the examples in the Jbrowse tutorial. Every time I try to see the data, I get the following:

The requested URL /var/www/jbrowse/JBrowse-1.11.6/index.html was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at 143.48.51.37 Port 80

After reading other forums I tried to make sure that Apache2 is selected for phpMyAdmin, and I was able to access phpMyAdmin from my browser successfully. Also, when I test apache2 I get the "It works!" page.

I am new to using Jbrowse and using web-server capabilities.

Thanks!

Did you follow the instructions on the website? link:
Code:
# make a directory that this user can write to
sudo mkdir /var/www/jbrowse;
sudo chown `whoami` /var/www/jbrowse;
# cd into it
cd /var/www/jbrowse;

# fetch a JBrowse release zip file
curl -O http://jbrowse.org/releases/JBrowse-x.x.x.zip

# unzip it and cd into it
unzip JBrowse-x.x.x.zip
cd JBrowse-x.x.x
If you downloaded a zip file, instead of the curl statement, use this:
Code:
cp /path/to/JBrowse-x.x.x.zip /var/www/jbrowse
