Trying to use Directv and HBO GO on ubuntu on 16.04 LTS

I'm trying to use Directv and HBO Go on my new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS but both sites are not letting me watch shows. What can I do to watch these shows. What do I need to download? Someone help.

What browser are you using? I do know that Google Chrome, not Chromium, is the only browser so far to work with Netfix.

This link at DirectTV shows Windows and/or Mac OSX as supported OS but not Linux.

HBO Go has these possibilities.

I'm using Netflix using chrome. That is running great. How do I use Directv or HBOgo with Ubuntu 16.04? Thanks for the Netflix tip!

I don't have an answer for you, but I noticed that you started this thread over a year ago. Have you found a solution since then?

Hi,

OP's last activity here at LQ was 06-11-16 16:17. One reason not to resurrect necro post/threads is that some members do not show up or have activity to answer a reply.

Depending on your browser and required plugins available for your Gnu/Linux most will provide the necessary plugins to allow you to view some services via a specific browser.

You have not contributed information to allow anyone to answer a possible solution.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!
