Trying to track down a 'partition' terminal command

Hopefully someone will be able to save me from going completely mad! about three months ago i tried to recreate a dell utilty partition for my PC and the process i eventually found included booting to a linux live disk (in this case Hardy Heron) and using a particular partitioning command to make this special partition.

ive been trying to track down the web page i found the instructions on and remember the name of the command to no avail so...

the name of the command was VERY similar to fdisk, it also had a kinda GUI but in a terminal window and allowed you to create about 30 odd different partition types (way more than fdisk) including this dell utility one that i needed.

can anyone help or am i just slipping into senile dementia a little earlier than expected :)

btw i have tried lfdisk, sfdisk etc. but unless im forgetting some very simple yet vital command to start up the gui/walkthrough thingy im out of ideas.

/waits patiently for floods of you're mad posts :)

Sounds to me like you're describing cfdisk.
