chkconfig should start the service at start up.

chkconfig <service> on

need rpm for linux 2.6.27.5.117.fc10.i686

since if i say
#yum install mysql
I getting like

could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mir...a-10&arch=i386 error was

Are you connected to internet to install it through yum? And you are using F10 which is old and is not supported. The mirrors may be down. You can also download it from the mysql site.
