trying to make compiz work
 
Im trying to make the 3D compiz to work.

I went to terminal and typed compiz
nothing happend but i got messages:

Can someone tell me what the next step is?:)

What distro are you using? Post the output of lspci.

You are not going to get compiz to work with your Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF. The card is simply not up to the task.

About craphic's card
 
What type of graphic's card would i need to install the compiz.
I have a dell gx240 can any one point me the right way?:confused:

Personal Opinion.

For driver support I would likely go with a NVIDIA card. The binary drivers work very well in my experience. And installing the driver is very easy in Ubuntu.

There's nothing stopping you from installing compiz, you just won't get it to work with that card. The older nVidia Geforce 4 MX 440 will. Obviously anything newer than that card will also work.
