Reason: messed up on title of post omg
You should post partitioning info by using sudo fdisk -l or sudo gdisk from the Mint installation device so we can tell if it is using EFI. If you haven't gone through tutorials on doing this, the link below is pretty detailed so you might give it a read. If you don't have an EFI install of windows, don't use the tutorial below.
Hi & WELCOME to LQ! Have patience & the uniquely wonderful LQ'ers will 'get you thru it'
Feel free to Edit #1 as many times as you need! I commend you for trying to 'do' CODE!
Yes, I'm guessing it's the 'dreaded' UEFI (I haven't tackled that concept yet).
An alternative quickLinux-ON-M$win which I use is: VirtualBox.
And lots of optimal-keyword web-searching
Here's a CLI (terminal/shell) way to post info (as long as you can: ping -c 2 whatever)
One is 'responsible' for whatever is 'so' in their life. (philosophy)
Well, I certainly RETRACT my extra-effort 'welcome'
I'll know to spot it by its grammar etc.
'Reality', inside each human, is whatever one THINKS;
one 'creates' whatever is 'so', by THINKing it
Generally a 'choice', but sometimes electro-chemically overridden.
