trying to install

im trying to install quanta, the desktop html editor but i have no clue what those instructions are talking about. is there an easy way of doing this or at least some step by step instructions. has anyone else installed it ?

your distro
which file you downloaded

otherwise it's really hard to help

I installed it with debian, which is just a simple apt-get install quanta.

I see there are also rpm packages out on the web, so maybe you could download them if you have an rpm based distro.

The installation from source is described step by step in the manual on the site in case you missed it. Else, which step are you having trouble with?
