TRUST 5300 SLIMLINE TABLET wont work on my Kubuntu 9.04 Desktop
hey guys this is one of my first of many newbie posts you'll be seeing from me haha... now when i say im a newbie, im not totally new to Linux and compiling software... i'm just need a bit more infomation on how to do it properly....
now to the point - i have a trust 5300 slimline usb tablet that i've brought a few weeks ago and have been using it alright on windows xp using the driver that came with the device, however i've been unable to find any generic linux drivers to use the device on my Kubuntu 9.04. I have tried to install the x.org driver for aiptek (which is apparently the rebranding of Trust) via Synaptic, however it says, quote:
Depends: xserver-xorg-core but it is not going to be installed
I have attempted to compile the driver myself but i have had absolutely no success, and to be quite honest i'm lost in it all :S
I have looked online through loads of forums and i have no idea what im doin... some are talking about recompiling kernels and i dont know but that sounds painful lol
ANY help would be greatly appreciated
