Trouble with RP-PPPoE

Hi,
I am having problems installing RP-PPPoE (http://www.roaringpenguin.com/en/pen...oducts/rpPppoe) on Ubuntu 7.04

When I try to run ./configure, it says that gcc is not able to make exe files.

Synaptic reports that gcc packages are installed.

I desperately need to install RP-PPPoE to have access to the internet in Ubuntu..

Help will be much appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

P.S: I am posting this from windows as I do not have net on Ubuntu
