Depends on what is really in this file. It could be this

http://filext.com/file-extension/AAA

or this

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/p...b64f37e?auth=1

To find out what kind of file it is, open a terminal and change to the directory where the file is located. Then run
Code:
file filename.AAA
You need to substitute "filename" with the real name of the file.

Another possibility is Sybase SQLAnywhere Temporary file, creaded by Sybase Inc.
The file runs with "SQL Anywhere"
