hello everybody!
my first question here:
i have Slackware 10.2 installed and running KDE
Kernel 2.6.5
i have my windows partitions (1 NTFS and 2 vfat) mounted automatically at boot time, with the 'defaults' options in /etc/fstab. when i log on something else than root i can view the windows partitions but i cannot write to them. their owner is root:root. (drwxr-xr-x). I tried
chmod -v a+w /mnt/hda5 for example and it confims doing it but it does not actually happen. i am still not allowed to write. chown does not work either
plese help! how do i mount my windows paritions automatically at boot time, so i can log on as a regular user and be able to write to them?
