Trouble Mounting DVD from an external drive

Hi all,
I am using Piccolo, a linux OS based on opensuse and I am having trouble mounting a dvd from my external DVD-RW drive. I have tried "mount /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom" and a few other methods and have had no luck

Please help!

What exactly is wrong? Are you getting any errors or warnings? Before you tried mounting your DVD, did you create /media/cdrom first? What file system is the DVD?

I have not created /media/cdrom first,Is that what I need to do?

The file system of the dvd is FAT32 (I think)
