Read the "Question Guidelines" and "How to ask a smart question" links in my posting signature. We are happy to help, but before we can do that you actually need to provide details that will let us help you. Just saying "having trouble" tells us nothing. We don't know what error(s)/message(s) you got, what you did before that, what installation guide you're following that says you're on step 5, etc. Also, we volunteer our time here...asking for/expecting 'ASAP' help is fairly rude. We answer when we can, if we are able to.

Describe your problem; we are not going to watch YouTube videos and try to figure out what's going on. This is a community forum where help and knowledge is shared. And you are aware that the whole, entire point of Tails is you DO NOT INSTALL IT, right?

While agreeing with TBone post.

I watched your video. I saw your ppa for tails installer download and install via synaptic not connecting error.

Either the url to tails installer is no good on that page < Have you left clicked on it ? >

or their server is down for what ever reason. I would wait a few days and try again if I thought their server was down. This kind of thing is normal on small ppa servers .

Here is a Bone for ya, < Pun intended >

Happy Trails, Rok

Wow, really??? Good luck getting help from anyone with the "thanks for nothing" comments. And why do you think we'll be watching this video, when we weren't going to watch the others you posted?

And complete, step-by-step installation instructions for Mac, Windows, and Linux are available on the Tails website, complete with pictures:
https://tails.boum.org/doc/index.en.html

Not sure what's hard about any of those. Perhaps next time you don't take your advice from YouTube videos, but actually try looking it up on the appropriate website.

[personal attack] your a [extreme hate speech + racism] .first of all whats wrong with being so happy that i solved my problem and said "thanks for nothing".and [racism, hate again] what you have against watching videos especialy youtube vidoes? idiot [continued hate] you dont know anything about linux*getting on my kali linux"i dont care [personal attack] you [advanced racism to higher level] i can create a new account in the future to get help in all my 7 linux forum site's accounts .research involves looking at not just one source/website but lots of sources and websites/videos to gather as much information as you can then come to a conclusion ahhaha [racism+personal attack].come at me i dare you-[WWII era racism, also seen earlier]

Note: Post very much edited by mod to remove harshest words and directed attacks against a member. It should seem clear that the OP here chose to go on the extreme offensive with the slightest provocation and this type of behavior is not acceptable within LQ ever.

If any moderators are around, I would suggest that this unfortunate individual (anon1147810) be removed.

Member has been banned unless they choose to request re-instatement using far more polite terms.

While I cringe at the extreme hate speech used and would prefer to delete it, I unfortunately do find it a supporting point/example made by Jeremy and others to cite reasons why decisions such as that banning ultimately transpired.

Apologies to those who may encounter that diatribe, it was not tolerated.

And thank you Rickkkk for your appropriate comment.

EDIT: I also would like to add my thanks to all other members who attempted to guide this user towards a more clear question, to use a method versus going ad hoc, to use the actual website content provided by the distribution, and to realize that citing terms like ASAP are impolite.

Thanks for taking action, rtmistler, but I am honestly amazed that the CONTENT of that post still remains. Is there a reason it's allowed to remain up??? I get Jeremy's logic, but there are certainly lots of words that could be redacted, and still let the post serve as a warning for others.

Very well, I do feel that the crux of their rant can be retained, however removing the extremely offensive remarks.

At this time, I will now close this thread. Those who wish to contact the mods about it can still click the report buttons or they can use the Contact Us link referring to this thread.
