Recently installed Ubuntu 15.10- had been running lambda on vista-ditched windows for Linux and now want to install the software on my laptop. But every time I try it says- an error occurred while loading the archive. I had researched that this software would work on Linux- am I wrong?
BTW-Linux rocks

Could you please explain what "lambda" is? As a linux user, I have not heard of it. A link to a web site, or a general description.
Windows executables will not run directly on a linux system. Some programs, with wine, can be run on a linux system. You could look into wine, as a way to run the program.
Where did you get the information that a linux system would run lambda?
What software is this? Are they linux executables?
I looked at the link you posted. I can find no mention of lambda on that page. The devices look to be devices for mixing audio streams. Is that correct?
yes- it has alpha-a variation of the same lexicon product- its an interface for recording. And evidently others on Linux blogs got lambda working. It seems unless I can get it going with wine im going to have to go split OS with windows. I have tried all day to download wine with little success. Ive gotten into the terminal and followed the commands but to no avail. any suggestions on installing wine would be helpful.
