Trouble connecting to wireless internet


I have a Dell Mini, it has Ubuntu 11.10 as the only operating system, it also has a wireless card installed in it but when I try to connect to any wirelesss it tells me " firmware missing" How can I fix this?
Please keep in mind when answering I am not computer savy talk to me like you would a beginer Thank You.

If you can't install drivers for your wireless card, than you can try Linux distro like Mint that comes with drivers pre-installed. You can boot Linux Mint from usb drive so you can try if it works with your wireless card. Please tell us your wireless card model for better answers.

Your mini's internal wireless card apparently needs additional firmware to operate. Perhaps this link will help: http://www.ubuntumini.com/2010/10/br...er-fix-in.html
