Trouble booting into liveCD. Goes to command line. Can't access tty.

Hi all,
I've been trying to boot into a LiveCD that came with a book and I keep getting redirected to command line whenever I try to boot it. It says:

BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-3ubuntu3) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(Initramfs)

I am running ubuntu 14.04 on a lenovo g50.
I don't know what to do from here. Please help! Thanks

Many people have this problem. It can have many causes, it seems, but perhaps this will help: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...493/page4.html.

I had something a bit similar when I replaced my Mobo way back in 2014, I ended up with the system stuck at the
Code:
initramfs
prompt. I managed to get past it by typing
Code:
initramfs return
if I recall.
No idea if it'll work for you but you might as well give it a try.

Play Bonny!
