Tried to leave win and got suddenly problems with Suse 10.0 at the first bootstrap
Hi people,
I'm totally nob in using linux. I wanted to migrate to linux in order to have if possible a more stable (free) system than windows and moreover save time! I have installed Suse 10.0 from an external USB DVD driver. I have in my PC an inernal HD with a windows partition of 13,5 BG and a not formatted NTFS partition (about 15 GB), furthermore an exernal HD of approximately 250 GB (1 partition windows). The installing process of Suse didn't allow me to choose my internal HD. He "wanted" to reduce the windows partition in the external HD and create there a Linux partition of approxiamtely 115 GB. The installation went then right on up to the reboot. I experienced my first problem by the rebooting: I got no proper boot (with access neither to windows not to linux) and displayed the following message: GRUB loading stage1.5. GRUB loading, pls. wait...
Error 21
By changing the boot sequence in the bios I got Error 5 and Error 25 , as well. I succeeded to enter in a linux opening page where I cood select "boot from Hard Disk" but the result was the same as before. Now i can't use the PC at all!
If anyone can help me I'be very grateful.
